YES!!! Peak colors up north right now. Head on up the coast towards Traverse City and north. There are some beautiful places up there. We like to go to the little towns and check out the local culture. No chain restaurants when up there, not for us, there are sooo many smaller, locally owned shops and restaurants that are out of this world. If you are interested in a list, send me a PM. Between and to the north of 72 that runs between Kalkaska and Traverse City has several towns we love to visit. Rapid City, Belaire, Alden..... Or a little closer is the "Thumb" area, we'd love to have you. There are lots of beautiful places all along M25. Grindstone city, Harbor Beach, Lexington, Bayport, Sebewaing, and all the way around to Bay City. Then if still time, you can just head up the other side of the bay to Pinconning and Tawas City.
