I know that once you reach $20,000 in transactions AND 200 transactions that you have to file a 1099 for taxes here in the States. I'm over the 200 transactions but no where near $20,000.

I thought it was $20,000 OR over 200 transactions. That might be the problem

No if you go to the paypal/irs page it definetly says $20,000 and 200 transaction. I think I would call them and get it straightened out, it sounds like it may be a hicup in the new system to accomodate all the 2011 tax changes. But I wouldn't give your soc # to anyone over the internet.
