You can look up the free manual, and believe you me, it is mostly how to combine those typewriter keys on top with the cams to make various stitches. The black ones are pretty, but I have a green one myself, and it is very interesting. Does the ad say you can contact a shipping company if you do not hear from any volunteer shippers? Make sure and check about the bobbin case too....they are expensive.
