A relative bought us a La Crueset pot for a wedding present in 1972. Had never heard of it and honestly did not take care of it the way it should have be cared for. Still loved it for pasta sauce and especially chili. It finally lost its coating and I had to bid it a sad farewell around 1989.

If anyone here tells me that it is still good after the coating wears off, I think I might just go out ant scream!!
