Hello Beautiful People! I have been in Aus for 8 years now - born and bred in Zimbabwe, Africa. My quilting journey started about 16 years ago when I was quite ill and my mother was visiting from South Africa. She thought I needed a new interest and she was very involved in her local quilting guild. I had no previous interest in cutting up large pieces of fabric into smaller pieces of fabric and then sewing them back together again! Well, we worked together on a half-square triangle quilt using fabric scraps and I was so impressed that the random fabrics had made a beautiful whole that the rest is history!
I made a few more quilts and then found that I really liked miniature quilts and preferred paper piecing for precision. (Bookkeeper in a former life) :roll:
