Yesterday I was washing 100% wool fabric. I cut three one yard pieces, put them in the washing machine along with a bath towel and a microfiber dish towel. I wanted to wash and preshrink the wool. I used hot water for the washing and then put the entire load in the dryer, on hot. When finished, I went to the dryer, took it all out and all the fabric strays, lint and assorted other fuss was stuck to the microfiber dish towel and NONE on anything else.
There were no snarled, tangled threads to trim from the wool fabric, and there were none in the dryer filter- it was all on the microfiber dish towel. I am going to try this with cotton and see if the same thing happens.
