Here are my latest creations. One is from Tutslady and another from Maine Ladybug as donations to help the Bastrop fire victims. They are off to be quilted today. Enjoy - Carol
New favorite pattern - all main colors are 3 or 3 1/2 inch wide and what I call slats are 2 or 2 1/2 inch wide (depends on what you want). This is an adaptation of McCall's Doorway to China Quilt Block - a wall hanging. I wanted to make a lap quilt so I enlarged the cuts. I really just cut strips and go from there with a lot of measuring inbetween. The thing to remember is you do 3 vertical pieces, then 4 horizontal (2 on each side), then 4 vertical (2 on each side), back to the horizontal, back to the vertical. If I want it a lot larger I break up the outer row with 3 pieces just like in the McCall's picture.

I actually completed this one yesterday

my new favorite pattern - the light blue has a small leaf the same color as the blue/purple. I thought they would look good together and I'm sorry I didn't buy a whole bolt of that brown

just 2 colors and a mistake from the pattern but it still turned out pretty
