The pattern is called "Karen's Double Flap". The designer was at my quilt club meeting last month with a number of her bags, and I purchased the pattern for this one and another one (for school bags for my granddaughters). The instructions started out being a little difficult to understand, but by page 2, it was easier.

There are pockets on both sides in the inside, plus that red flap is decorative, but has side by side pockets right behind it! LOTS and LOTS of pocket space!!!!!!
