OMG, that's a new quilt block design. Can't you see it! The dark blades with the spiky white coming off the ends against a sky blue background. It's so full of energy, movement, nature, life. If you don't use it, I will. Just take that top part with the round, frozen blades against the sky, create a quilt block, and build a quilt from that. Make it "on point" to keep the sense of movement and energy flowing -- no static square blocks. Sash it in between the blocks with a fabric that also has some energy, some movement, but in a color that will make the quilt blocks stand out. If you don't want to do it all in that one block, alternate between that, and a quieter nature block, but in a complimentary color pattern, but nothing that will compete with the primary block. When you look at the quilt, your eye should travel from primary block to primary block, along the sashing "highway", and just resting the eye a bit on the alternate blocks, preparing it for the next primary block. Oh, I can see it in my head, and it's beautiful! Can you see what I see?
