One of the prettiest ones I ever saw done was a Pink/Black print and a black/pink print with an eyelet lace in the middle. (Sissy, take note and hint hint hint!!!!)
Most Traditional Rail Fences were three rails, though of course, there's lots of twists and possibilities where people have added rails or combined a rail fence with focus fabric blocks or stars, etc.
