As you can tell from my avatar I don't have a little dog, but what I do when Thor is rude or obnoxious is "be a tree". I turn my back on him, cross my arms across my chest, and look up at the ceiling and say nothing. If he shifts to my front then I shift so he gets my back again still saying nothing. He doesn't like being ignored!!! He quickly gets the point and lays down by my feet. Yeah, he pouts but still, enough is enough. When he settles down then I love all over him. If she jumps towards your face to get attention, turn away and don't give it to her. When she settles down, then reward her with a cookie or the attention she craves. I wouldn't interefer with her being the alpha bitch to the other dogs, but I certainly would not let her be rude to me. I also use a loud "unhunh" coz he ignores "no" ... it's used too much in conversation so it has no meaning to him. I don't agree with the dominance theory for all dogs, that is one you will have to decide based on her personality. No way in the world would the dominance games work with my dog ... but boy, a ginormous hissy fit gets the message across when warranted LOL. Thankfully I've only had to throw a couple.

BTW .... you babies are super cute!
