Only fabric - I ironed fusible to all the fabric and there is low loft poly batting inside. The centre squares therefore have four layers of fabric/fusible as well as the batting, which gives the stiffness. I'm working on another to get the satin stitch better - it's the first part of sewing up the side that is tricky.
Thanks for the tip about going round the edge more than once though - perhaps if I do a wider zig zag first then go over that with satin stitch, that would work better. I'll try and report back. :-D I'm also going to try one with Fast 2 Fuse today.
