I have had Embird since I got my first ME machine. Over time, I added all the plug in's except cross stitch.
You can buy just the pieces/plug in's as you want them or can afford them.
If you're wanting to learn to digitize later on, studio is very easy to learn and there are many yahoo groups out there to help you.
