I love steel cut oatmeal. I would make up a batch and keep the leftovers in the fridge. Cooks Illustrated recommends toasting the steel oats about 3 minutes. I do that and it tastes wonderful. My way of cooking them is 1 cup of oats, 3 cups water and 1 cup of milk. Since we have lots of apples I think I will slice apples to put in it as well. It tastes great the second day as well.

Some of you have mentioned putting oatmeal in a crock pot over night, what type of oatmeal are you using and what size crock pot. I live alone and do not want to cook a large amount. Any help will be appreciated.

Congrats to Missy on needing new bras. I hope to have the same need by early November. We have a great place here in New Jersey, the staff is very helpful with fitting and are accustomed to the larger woman.

Make it a great day!
