Woke up early, got child #1 to school, had a nice cup of coffee and looked at the forums while child #2 sat in a swingy chair, burbling and cooing all cute and baby-like. Made my bed, put dinner in the crock pot, had breakfast, cleaned the kitchen, picked up Child #1 and fed him lunch. Fed Child #2 and put him down for a long nap. Then fed Child #1 a snack, then another snack, then another snack. Examined child #1 to see if in fact he had a hole in his body where all this food was falling out. All the snack preparations exhausted me so I decided to have a rest break on the sofa which turned into a cat nap, which was interrupted by child #1 requesting ETA for dinner (this was at 3:30 p.m.) Child #2 awoke from his nap and I spent some time cuddling him in a rocking chair. Spent some time doing that mommy thing where you hold your sleeping baby and can't get over how precious they are and hope you will remember that moment for ever and ever. Little darling fell asleep again and napped another hour (SCORE!) Husband came home and we ate a yummy dinner of chili. Husband put kids to bed and retired himself at the very late hour of 7:15 p.m., leaving me an entire evening to play on the computer uninterrupted. (again, SCORE!) Seriously, why am I not quilting??
Okay so looking back, pretty darned lazy day. (Izaquilter - you ran circles around me. I am thinking you have plenty of energy to spare!)
For what it is worth, most of my days are not this relaxed. I SWEAR!!!
