Finished my first quilt project last night. I have never done a binding. Doing the mitered corners wasnt so bad but the part that gave me the hardest time was the finish. I know now to leave myself as much play room as possible. That way I dont have to fight with it so much.

I wanted to start with a smaller quilt before tackling a large one. Now I have many to do. I thought it best I learn on something for me. That way if I screwed it up, it wasnt something for someone else. There are a few places where you can tell it was my first but all in all I am happy with it.

I just LOVE quilting. It is a shame I didnt discover this sooner. It is so therapeutic. I am suppose to take 3 doses of pain meds a day. When I am in here quilting, I am able to only take two doses because my mind is occupied I guess.

I couldnt have done this though without all the help I got online from watching tutorials. What a wonderful thing the internet is to have!
