You're welcome Kitty. I actually started out when I was 18 teaching myself to do crewel work. I had a job being a companion to an elderly lady when I was going to college. so I started in the needlework area first. Then a few years later I did home parties and taught the ladies to do small crossstitch projects or embroidery or turkey tracks pictures.
I have doodled for years since a small child and I love flowers, I can't draw faces or dogs or anything like that but I love to doodle flowers.
I do have some designs I did specifically for embroidery. The flower in your pic is my all time favorite one to do. It is a stylized flower that is not any particular flower really.
