When I do satin stitch that I don't want to show on the back I use a page out of the phone book as a stabilizer on the back...otherwise some of my stitching always ends up in the feed dogs. If it is fused on I don't seem to have as much of a problem and don't use the phonebook page. Hope that helps
Thanks Koko. My biggest problem is should I do the satin stitch with the sandwich put together QAYG style or should I just do the block and the put the sandwich together. I've never done FMQ before and I was thinking that if I did the satin stitch with the sandwich together that would be a little easier I hope. This is very new to me. I have just recently mastered blanket stitch on applique.
