The title of this helper is: "No Fail Fabric Buying Guide." It
helps you to deside how much yardage to buy for each size of quilt and for each color of fabric. All you need to do is fill in the form for one block and size of backing. For an easy example: for a 9-patch block (it has fill-in squares), enter the size and color value of each shape of your block. If you don't yet know the colors just label them A light-B dark-ect. Enter the size and number of each shape, such as 4-2X2 in. squares. Then enter # of blocks needed and it calculates the yardage. Take this tear-out page to your fabric store and you will know how much of each fabric to buy. If you don't have a block pattern? I draw a full-scale pattern on paper and measure each piece. My "fabric wisard" is a necessary tool for me.
