I started at 54, but I collected fabrics for years. I didn't even SEW.. I just loved fabrics...and would pet them all the time.
I was diagnosed as a "closet quilter" at 54 by a local quilter who heard about my fabric addiction. She MADE me take a beginners sampler class and it's been a love affair every since!
