I love my FW for classes and traveling, but I have an old cabinet that my Dad rigged up for me so I could "drop in" any sewing machine and it would just sit in there. you'll need a "cradle" made for the 301 to fit in the cabinet.
they have no hinges on the back. you will love that 301 !
and a fantastic price. it also has drop feed dogs for FMQ.
best lighting, fastest sewing.
oops--you can find the cradles on ebay for about $30.
Thanks for the tip about Ebay Smitty - My Dad built a custom "cradle" into the cabinet for me already so I'm good to go! :) I already have a modern machine in there now that I use just for free motioning.
