I have a 1911 White in a beautiful cabinet, drawers are curvy instead of straight which I have not seen before. Bought it for $5 in West Memphis in early 80's. Had cabinet redone but machine is still the same, need restoring. Reading about you and your joys makes me feel as though I maybe could do it myself.
