I think yours is so much prettier in the red. I didn't even see a pattern in the peacock one.
I teach crochet and love it, but can knit. Once my daughter took 247 stitches off of my knitting needle when she was little, I swore to never do anything big again. Dishcloths are about it. With crochet, it's just one loop :) :)
