I could add the darker fabric in when a shashing comes up short, and have it look really strange...

That's really the only option I have...ideas????
Is it possible to put in a diamond or square in a different colour in the middle of each divide of the stars???? whatch a think?
So you're saying instead of the dark green little squares, use a different color, and just make them a little bigger to bridge the gaps?
Well I wasn´t, I was thinking what you have already done, or would a bigger block look okay. or a different shape, maybe some small stars ????

Any good
