Lol, I am proud of myself. I had no pattern, and am new to sewing much of anything. But having made up my mind that I would learn to sew, and especially quilt....I am really enjoying it. I had to piece the lining for one side of the inside, and it worked perfectly. I had just enough to cut two pieces for the second half of the lining and overlap them. I feel like I have really learned a lot by joining this board, and paying attention to all the good ideas here.

I still have a scrap piece of the fabric 17" x 8" laying on my cutting mat, lol....just calling my name. If I used a checkbook...but I don't. You can bet it will not go to waste. I am an incurable crafter, so it will tell me soon what it wants to be.

The Kenmore works beautifully. I needed a zigzag foot for it, so called Sears and ordered one. Lol...the foot is costing me more than the machine did, but will be well worth it. I know I have a machine to sew heavy fabrics with and not have to worry about damaging it.
