I tacked a large piece of batting on the wall in my hallway across from the bathroom. It's the only spot in the house that is free from doors, windows, or furniture. Sometimes the location comes in handy - I can sit on the "throne" and let the quilt speak to me!

I have to share that originally, I used a flannel-backed table cloth, but it was nowhere near large enough. Then I used a flannel sheet, but the blocks would fall off if someone walked by, or the dog whacked the wall with his tail, or the block was too big and heavy. I finally got smart and upgraded to some cheap cotton batting. It is very "sticky", almost like velcro, and I haven't had anything fall off it yet.
