I use it mostly for small projects. I found it doesn't hold the layers tight enough for a big quilt when I'm moving it around under the machine. I use it to hold fabric scrap pieces, paper patterns sheets, etc. together too. :D years ago a dept store was going out of business and had boxes of the plastic tags sitting out. I asked about buying the gun used with the tags and the owner about had a conniption. He said oh no, those pricing guns are for professionals only, it's not for sale to the general public at all. I went straight to Hancock's Fabric and bought the red one. I went back to the store and asked the man if there was any difference in my red one than his black one. He was very put out that a professional tool was sold in a fabric shop to non professionals. He said it wasn't right any one could have pricing guns, they could go in a store and swap prices on items. No computerized registers then. He said he was going to Hancocks and let them know it wasn't right to sell those! One of my most memorable shopping trips to date. 8)
