My girlfriend and I would do that exact thing when we would make charity quilts. I enjoyed the piecing she enjoyed the quilting. She asked me once if I would like to go into business with her and I told her that I thought that working on someone elses deadline would probably take the fun out of it. It was fun when I could do my own thing but not so much when I had to work within someone elses choices of design, color, and pattern.
