I just loosened a lift lever by taking the pressure off by removing the thumb screw and taking the spring and shaft out. Oiled (Penetrating oil will work) everything that moves the lever, and let soak in. The lever moved the next day. Do not put much pressure on the lever or it may break. If you can get inside move with a screwdriver.

We can't seem to get the presser foot to go down and I'm wondering if there's a trick to it or if it's frozen. She decided it was too much work for her to get into shape so she says I can have it if I want it, and if nothing else I am taking it to "tinker" on. I think it's pretty neat!
