Things just kind of snowballed. First I waited until I was sure I could complete 12 blocks before I signed up, then I found all this b&w fabric I had so I didn't have to buy any fabric at first, then I found all these neat patterns I had never tried, then I found more fabric at the store I just had to have, then the weather was so bad I could only stay home and sew and so it continued until before I knew it I had made 84 blocks!
I seemed to get a little obsessive compulsive about this swap. :D

I really am looking forward to getting my blocks. I'm thinking giving the finished quilt to my daughter (13 years old) Her 8th grade graduation dress needed to be hemmed. And I had to cut off about 4 inches of - are you ready for this - BLACK & WHITE & PURPLE fabric. Purple is is favorte color. Now won't that be the best gift ever. She loved the black and white blocks, she loves purple and that fact that part of her graduation dress in the quilt? Linda
Purple will be lovely with the b&w.
I was thinking about bright yellow and then appliquing yellow ducks around the quilt but couldn't find any duck fabric that was right. I did find some lovely butterflies in various colors so I'm still not sure of the color of the sashing but it may still stay yellow.
I wonder if Collette has been buried in blocks?
I wonder how she is coming along?
