I am from south Louisiana and it's been really HOT down here this summer. I have been quilting for about four years. I started out trying to teach myself but finally gave in a took a beginners class. Boy, am I glad I did that because I was doing it all wrong. Joining the local guild has also been a great source of information and friendship.
My favorite part of quilting is piecing. I have so many finished tops, but only two finished quilts. I did not do the quilting on either of those - my aunt did one and I sent the other one out to a professional. I am hoping to take a machine quilting class some day so I can finally finish some of the others.
