The Mega Quilter is a great starter machine. We have it on a Grace Next Generation frame with a Cruise Control. The QBot also will fit this configuration. The main drawback is the short 9" throat which means more passes per quilt but working a smaller area can be a good thing when you're learning to do basic things like freehand stippling. The Cruise Control is essential for good results when you're starting. Good luck!
