I spent a good part of one daying trying to figure that out, too. Finally, I kept turning that square around until I saw what I had to do. Don't know if you can follow what I did, but when you get to that point, you will have sewn the tail part to the square and then you match OPPOSITE sides together and sew those and this forms the base that makes it stand up,. Hard to explain and even the pictures didn't make it easier for me. Instead of just sewing the two bottom edges, you sew with the tail tucked inside. Fiddle with it until you see how to make it work. Hope this is clearer than mud. HA
