Am glad you stated this .... I do not restore my vintige/antique machines. I clean them up and then use them and that way they hold the memories of those who used them before I got my grubby little hands on them. I, too, enjoy the scratches and scrapes and I find myself wondering who/what did this/that and why. Really neat and nostalgic .......... don't you think?
