I too have had that happen. I have been doing FMQ lately, a lot and I will be sewing along, hear this certain noise which I have learned mean my thread has wrapped around a guide. I learn quickly to stop and slip it off or it will break. If I slip it off I can just keep sewing. Why or how it does it I don't know.
