Don't give the "quilt police" a second thought. You have in your possession a unique family heirloom that your grandmother made with love and which you finished with love. I'm sure she's just happy that the quilt is finished and that you finished it. If you don't say anything, no one will notice. Great job on a beautiful quilt. My third quilt, my second to machine quilt was pinned carefully, I began in the center, working my way out and talk about shift, puckering, you name it; but I learned a lot from that quilt, and it was an over-sized king quilt that I quilted on my Kenmore. Your quilt looks beautiful and grandma is looking down from on high beaming with pride.
