Here's a thought: if the instructions stink, toss them in the trash. just lay it all out on a table and decide for yourself how to do it. you're a smart enough cookie and will do just fine. :P

i have never done a stained glass quilt, so i may not be on the right track. but, they look to me like something you'd lay out as though you were putting together a jigsaw puzzle. once all the pieces are properly positioned and fastended to the backing, you lay down the bias that simulates the lead, then fasten it using your own favorite method of applique. (i'm so lazy, i'd probably just use my widest satin stitch between the pieces and skip the bias altogether. )

whether you put it aside for a while, or start today, the very first thing you need to do is decide that you CAN do it; that you WILL do it; and know that it will turn out beautifully. have some faith in yourself. you'll see. :P
