The year we moved here to the country, one of the young ladies up the road died to breast cancer. She was an avid quilter and had not only made a quilt to drape th outside of teh casket, but had made a quilt pillow for her head and quilted the whole inside of the casket and the blanket laid over her.
I did not know her, but folks said they had draped her quilts all over the church, had table runners sitting on tables, etc. and apparently was the talk of the town for quite awhile.
So yes, I hope my family uses one of my quilts and then my body will go to science for whatever they need and the rest creamated and strewn in various places I have requested.
