Way back in the 1960's my Mom got a recipe for Tamale Pie from somewhere - it was VERY simple: ground beef, peppers and onions, tomatoes in some form, MAYBE some canned whole corn and a cornbread (batter) topping, all baked in a 9x13 pan.
As good as I am at creating & recreating recipes, this one has me stumped - maybe I'm overthinking this. Ideas?
