I didn't mind the extra work, clothes were cleaner, less water waist and nothing beat clean sheets and towels hanging on the line!! :-D
Oh my, I was thinking the same thing before I read that was your choice!! Mom and I had an assembly approach and it was fun working together. I liked the smell of the clothes cleaning in the soapy water. I remember mom was tired tho so maybe it's good to not have to stand so much while the washing machine washes. That wringer was an education in mechanical theory.
