If it's got three layers sewn together it's a "quilt" - no matter what size. Now you can call it a mini, a runner, a wall hanging, or whatever, but it's still a quilt. IF however, you look only at the usefulness of the object, then ONLY those that are used for covering should be called quilt which includes knee throws and doll quilts but no wall hangings. Isn't it fun to make up your own rules?
