"Neutral" is open to many interpretations--used to be tan or ivory but decorators call gray, pale lavender, black, white, even some greens "neutrals." I'd want more information before proceeding with plans. Can you talk to the mother of the bride-to-be? They may have a "neutral" room but have a particular accent color planned. A neutral room would be a fabulous setting for a vivid quilt.

I think the bride's 'style' might be more important than color--does she like modern, traditional, 50's retro, cottage style, shabby chic, scrappy, 1930's, arty?
