Yes I do. sometimes the pattern is wrong so I would rather be safe than sorry. I made a quilt from a pattern in an old book and they had forgot one whole section in the star. I hadn't been quilting very long and was so confused that I drove over to my neighbor's house, laid it all out on her floor and we decided that if I made another section that everything would fit just fine.
