Yep, you are right about the antique stores. There are several antique stores here I have visited only to be told they no longer accept treadles/or antique sewing machines because they can't sell them. The ones I have found, though, don't seem to want to come down on their prices! The machines just sit there - sometimes for years. I never find a decent machine at the thrift stores here either. I find mine on CL or estate/yard/barn sales.

PS Charlee, I would have offered $150, but I really don't 'need' another treadle. I just figured for the right price I'd get it!
