You can use anything you want to in a quilt. I don't mix cotton and blends most of the time because when you wash the cottons you get the quilty look and when you wash the blends it is more flat or ironed looking so you get a different look when you wash the quilt. Hope I made that clear.lol However, I have mixed a lot of different types together and since it is all different it gives a lot of texture and feel to the quilt. Just which ever floats your boat. It is a long lasting fabric ususally too.
