I apologise for the standard of my photography! In fairness, you can't really see the quilting from the pictures I uploaded. The bag looks much better "in the flesh" so to speak - you can feel the quilting when you pick it up.
I used a very light wadding (batting) for this. In fact I used some left over cotton curtain interlining which worked remarkably well, and was about half the price of comparable wadding from the shop.
