I have the same one...had the same problem tonight...lots of shaking and clanging and had to clean it all out...I noticed it last night that there was tons of lint...I just finished sewing some big seat cushions and the fabric was a velour type so all that fuzz built up in there...

Now here is another little note about something I learned the hard way...I will pass it on so nobody gets as frustrated as I did the other day...I was trying to do a zigzag/coverlock stitch on my cushions...too thick for the serger..so the night before I tried on and it was great...the following evening I switched the needle plate...to the one for quilting...it has a small hole for FMQ...and then of course I forgot about it and when I went to resume my zig zag it would sew for about 3 or 4 stitches and then not move...wasted an entire day....what really got my ticked is I called the store where I bought it and the clerk said "Bring it in there is something wrong with it." Well I knew that but I was hoping she could troubleshoot with me...she just had no time...so I left it until after dinner and then I went up to my sewing room with a fresh mind and went through all the steps and it finally hit me...then I called my sister...who has the same machine...and said..."You know that stupid FMQ needle plate we bought for the Janome?...don't try to zigzag with it....She had a good laugh...
