I hate it too. I often buy jeans at Goodwill because they are cut "normal". I did buy jeans at Kohl's that fit my small waist and "big" butt. They are kinda tight on the thighs though.
I hate it when I see a great sale, and go and find it is all "low cut". Hubby even tells me before I try them on, "they are low cut".
Usually, normal sizes are in the "Misses" department. Low-cut skinny leg jeans are in the Jrs. department. Large through the leg and butt are in the "women's" dept.
It has all changed though, and one brand might fit better than another. So the aggravation of trying on several brands, sizes, styles, remains!
