Thanks so much for your clear as mud explanation it really does help to know all these things. I usually never use starch but it might not be a bad idea for this project. Good news is that the original colors will now be changed due to the fact they are not all the right colors for the Viking team so I will be going out Monday to buy all new fabrics so I can start all over.
But before I cut that border again, I will be looking at all the easiest ways of doing it. I am taking notes on all the suggestion given here and will compare them to what I feel comfortable with. Then I'll cross my fingers and hope for the best. LOL
