Not ready to breathe a sigh of relief yet. Following Billy's instructions, I disassembled my vintage machine... cleaned, cleaned and cleaned again all the parts, including all the screws. Polished, polished and polished again all the parts, including all the screws. Will let all pieces "cure" for lack of a better word... and will attempt to reassemble tomorrow. Am I a tad nervous???? You bet! But, I know if I need help... I can find it here.
